Science Pub: Astrophysics Applied to Climate Change

Dr. Ray Weymann will present the February 13th Science Pub talk on "Astrophysics Applied to Climate Change." Learn about transitioning towards a low carbon emission economy. Dr. Weymann is a retired astronomer and astrophysicist, associated with the Carnegie Institution where he was director. His Ph.D. is from Princeton University. He is a founder of the Climate Science Rapid Response Team and past president of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific. Dr. Weymann has made notable contributions to astronomy in the areas of the evolution of high redshift galaxies and mass ejection from active galaxies.
